What does that sign say?
I was riding in the hill country one day when I spotted an odd road sign. I noticed, as I zipped by, that the sign was mounted exceptionally high in the air. Why was it necessary for that particular road sign to be so high? Curiosity aroused, I made a quick U-turn and rode back for a closer look. Which is when I spotted the name of the road.
The red color means this is a private road so the owner gets to pick the name of the road. In this case the owner selected a name that presumably reflects his feelings about having visitors (or his ex-wife?) stop by.
It’s a pretty funny sign. I figure I’m not the only person who has ever stopped to have a closer look. I bet that due to its humorous nature this sign has been stolen a few times and the owner decided to mount it high enough in the air to make it a less likely target of opportunity.
