Hill Country Religion
Many German immigrants settled in central Texas in the 1800s and their architectural influence still exists today, mostly in the form of the stone buildings they built around the turn of the century. This is Christ Lutheran Church on Cherry Springs Road, north of Fredericksburg, in the Texas hill country. Completed in 1906 from native limestone, this church is still in use today.
