Historical Dual Sport Motorcycle Sales
I often hear riders lament the lack of dual sport motorcycle choices, especially from the Japanese manufacturers. I contend that the primary reason we don’t have more choices is an economic one. Namely, the low volume of dual sport motorcycle sales (especially in comparison to the other major categories of motorcycles) fails to provide a sufficient financial stimulus to the motorcycle manufacturers to produce more and newer models. In support of this idea, I present these historical motorcycle sales numbers for your review.
